Prague Xperience

The house had its designated conception during its formation and projection. This conception went from the advantageous position of the property on the boundary-line between The Old and New Town of Prague. The palace was designed this way to be a cultural building, it is a cinema for 1000 visitors, next a vine house {Aquarium} and cafe {Vagon} for comfortable sitting, not only for cinema visitors but also for visitors of beautiful Prague and old standers from surroundings. There are billiard rooms, dancing halls, and an elevated podium for music and so on at disposal. Naturally there had to be fast refreshment and snack bar and delicatessen for those who wanted to test the cold meat at home especially.
That atmosphere was coupled with rent premises for motor – show, fancy- goods, sporting goods, and electrical appliances and for the representations of a number of firms. There was always counted with renters living there in order to be the palace a bright house.
After nationalization

The house declined gradually. The luxury equipment of the firm was lost, damaged, its renovation and repairs were made withouth a proper conception and with an aim to common running of the enterpise. The cinema was likvidated gradually, first it served as a testing department and later a deposit of the National theatre. There are 31 renters in the flats and 21 firms in non-residential premises. Present situation The house is on hand of 8 part owners, children and grandchildren of builders of Palace Metro of Václav and Otylie Kleinhampl now. The part owners lead housing management in their arrangement with own METRO-PALAC s.r.o.. They repair Palác Metro step by step – repairs and reconstructions in the whole house both single rented areas as circulating area.
