U CESKYCH PANU RESTAURANT
U ČESKÝCH PÁNŮ is an old style restaurant in the centre of Prague, on the corner of Školská and Vodičkova streets. The restaurant is located in the cellar areas of a historically valuable building based on original foundations dating back to the period 1357 - 1360 and built according to the founder’s deed for the New Town of Prague issued by Charles IV on 8th March 1348.
The gothic interior of the restaurant is furnished in the mediaeval style and air-conditioned. The restaurant offers a wide range of specialities of European and Czech cuisine combined with fresh vegetable salads. We also offer a rich choice of Moravian wines, several kinds of beer and other alcoholic as well as soft drinks.
Our restaurants have seating for 100, of which 75 in the main hall, and 25 in the saloon. The restaurant is perfectly suitable for individual guests, groups of foreign tourists as well as for banquets, festive parties as well as wedding receptions and company parties.
Traditional Folk Music
Hire your own band to play traditional folk music (contrabass, violin, clarinet, pipes) in the U Ceskych Panu Restaurant. The repertoire consists of the best showcases of Moravian, West and South Czech folk music. The musicians are experienced performers for international audiences, having performed all over the Czech Republic and abroad. The musicians, and waiters, perform in traditional costumes.
Old Music Band
Hire an old style Prague music band of the Žižkov kind. The repertoire consists of old Prague songs, vaudevilles and operettas. Czech folk and traditional songs and world-wide known evergreens can also be included if required. The musicians perform in traditional costumes. The instruments are: contrabass, accordion and violin.
Medieval Entertainment
As your group enjoys some traditional Prague hospitality, women dancers perform traditional Czech dances. Suddenly, two knights enter in full armour and challenge each other to a dual. A fine combat display commences, with knives and short swords. To further transport you back to Medieval times, background medieval music is piped through the restaurant.
